Reports and ranking

Standard reports are free, public and based on a bounded sample of public website content. A report does not inspect every page, certify accessibility or security, or guarantee how the website works for every visitor. Check the evidence and measurement date before acting on a finding.

The published methodology defines selection, formulas, eligibility, confirmation and expiry. Ranking uses verified internal link health, then quality to two decimal places. Two complete agreeing observations are required for a new competitive result. Exact ties are allowed. Unknown evidence earns no new certificate. A failed or inconclusive attempt does not renew an older certificate.

Methodology versions are recorded. A new version may require rescanning all participants and may change scores and positions. A changed sample is a new baseline, not proof that a website improved. Other participants can change your position. No particular score, position or amount of visibility is promised.

Saved battles and sharing

Saved battles preserve the evidence and verdict recorded at the time. A rematch can produce a new result. Browser page diagnostics are separate from the site ranking. When sharing findings, retain the report link, date and sample context; do not present a bounded automated check as a full-site certification or imply an endorsement by CrashedLink.

Accounts and acceptable use

Keep your account credentials secure and provide accurate account information. Submit public website addresses only. Do not submit credentials, private access links or confidential personal data in a URL. Do not evade crawl restrictions, access controls, quotas or rate limits, manipulate evidence, impersonate an owner or use the service to harass others. We may limit requests or suspend access used to abuse the service.

Availability depends on the queue, network restrictions and third-party services. A request may reuse a cached report or finish without a qualified result. Owning an account does not grant control over reports about websites you do not own.

Advertising and payments

Sponsored placements are labeled and do not affect scores or ranking. The checkout identifies the purchased placement, period and price. Payments are processed by Stripe. Advertisers must have permission to use their creative assets and destination. Pausing an advertisement does not extend the purchased period. Contact support about delivery problems, cancellations or refunds. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that applicable consumer law protects.

Corrections, removal and account closure

For an incorrect finding or a website removal request, contact support with the report URL and evidence. We may request verification that you control the site before making ownership-related changes. A disagreement does not automatically change a measured score; review follows the same published methodology. The crawler page explains robots.txt controls.

You can close your account through account settings. Private request history and account metadata are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Public website observations and saved battles are separate from the requesting account; account closure alone does not erase those public records. Requests involving personal information in a public record are reviewed separately.
